Freeman Honors Team Works to Harmonize Heritage at National Conference
This November the Honors College Team attended the National Council of Collegiate Honors Colleges (NCHC) Conference in Kansas City, MO. The theme of this year鈥檚 conference was 鈥淗armonizing Heritage: Elevating Honors Education through Culture, Capital, and Community Engagement鈥�. Insightful workshops on topics like 鈥淭he Integration of AI as an Aid in Classroom Instruction鈥�, 鈥淓ngaging Parents and Alumni for Student Success鈥�, and 鈥淢aking the Best of Budgets鈥� were offered to share best practices and raise awareness of trends facing the students we serve. The Texas Southern Delegation also had the opportunity to participate in Focus Groups held specifically for Deans and Directors, which engaged other practitioners and administrators from the State and Regional levels creating networks and bonds that will transcend. We look forward to implementing and capitalizing on the gained knowledge. Helping make Freeman Honors the premiere place for academic excellence at 嫩草影院.
